Hi Micheal, you've captured a beautiful warm glow in the skin tones camera left, which I think would work well with a tad more shadow on the near side of the subjects face - a personal choice maybe.
I also think that this would look a lot better for me with a plain darkish bg that also echoed the glow in the subjects skin
A beautiful model well captured, great skin, great eyes, I have to agree about the background though.
Like the eye connection with the camera and the good details in the hair. For me the lighting is a little to bright for this to work well. You could add a levels adjustment layer to darken the background to reduce its impact and then look at just reducing the levels on the face slightly to give a little more shadow, again with a separate layer.
Just a suggestion.
Thanks for the useful feedback. The original had better contrast. I adjusted it as the histogram was bunched too far over to the left. Should have left it more or less as it was.
This was a pub "grab" shot. Asked the waitress to pose for couple of quick shots.
SB600 in a lambency diffuser, pointing straight up, place in a table, just off the vertical axis.
Triggered by CLS in TTL mode.
Pleasantly surprised as to the lighting effect, and how good TTL was.
Any other comments and suggestions greatly welcomed.
Lovely image and model.
Very nice lighting and skin tone.
P.S. Thanks for the smashing mod, I like the crop.
tip top surrender.
Lovely skin tones and model has a wistful expression which you have captured well.
Perhaps a lazy lasso selection would work to darken down the background. This would bring more emphasis on the model. Well done.
