Indoor shot........this gladiolus was leaning over in a vase by the window and I liked the effect of the back lighting from the sun streaming in.
The b/g is vegetation in the garden.
I don't like the harsh light from direct sunlight for floral shots but here I felt the areas of light and shade were interesting.
However, it's not one of my better floral shots and I had been considering binning it but thought I'd see what you might say before doing so.

My thanks to all who commented on The Gaze.

Ronnie.

A very informative foreword, and 'flaming heck' Ronnie, I thought my screen and burst into flames. Stunningly intense warming colours in a fusion of beauty. A truly wonderful spectacle, which you have captured at its very pinnacle of beauty.

If you had cloned out the right hand bloom I think this would have been picking up awards, Ronnie. The lighting and colour, accentuated by the vignette, make this well worthwhile saving.

I love this flower, and tried to grow them once, but failed. I learnt that they need very good sun light..
