Anyone who went to Rowardennan may know about this one. The Range went on the blink whilst there, which was followed by a farcical tale involving the AA ... which may come at a later stage lol.

Despite the **** ups I met Glasgow Jim (Picture here) .. .who was our recovery driver on two occasions!

A true glaswegian with a strong accent and a wicked sense of humour - a gentleman to the last!

One the way back from a failed mission to get an alternator on a sunday from Lucas in Glasgow; we came past loch lomond returning to the hotel.

Not being one to miss an opportunity, I asked Jim if he would pull up for a couple of mins and allow me to fire off a few shots. This is the result .... its one of my favourites from Loch Lomond and a reminder that great photos can be found anywhere at any time ....

Jim ... If you are reading this ... your prints in the post mate!

Next time I'm in glasgow we can definately have a wee swallie!

PS - Do Jim a favour and view it LARGE lol

Superb presentation and I like the timing, even used the AA logo in the title which is a nice touch.

Chris

Thanks for the comment everyone - Chris I wanted the shot be suitable as an AA advert. They'll be getting an e-mail asking if they want to buy it lol

That was one of my first thoughts too - that the AA would surely buy this shot. It's a really good image.

This shot captures the story well Dan.

Not a good advert for Range Rover though.

Paul

Great colors and fantastic lighting.
I like so much the composition and the sky in contrast with the image colors.

Good work!

And so can awards - third or fourth from the Meet, I think...? Well deserved! It was a good idea to shoot this, and very well executed.

A superb image, and quite a different 'landscape' to most.

You want to join the RAC - can't recommend them highly enough... broke down on the M6 in driving rain on the way to the Lakes last week. RAC van there in 12 mins took us off the motorway, tow truck another 10 mins, took us to the nearest dealership near Ambleside, and we then had a hire car the next morning at 9.30am until the car was fixed. This is the third time in a year I've needed them (French cars for you), and every time they have been superb.

It looks to all the world like a commercial image. Well done! Only downside to using such a wide lens is that your 'Range' looks like a small Fiat Panda on first glance! Smile
