...it only lasts for a few weeks but imagine wakening to this at the bottom of the garden every morning.

A little corner of Scotland that lights up like Christmas in Autumnal colour.

Rich colours now appearing, Dougie, and as you say what a scene to start the day: cleverly worked viewpoint and immaculate use of full DOF.

It's the autumnal yellows which really ring my bell; the reds and oranges are lovely but that yellow is superb!
I'm off to the retro shop this morning to see that tin - I'll report back later!

Unusual composition, the leaves towering over the cottage.
In recent years the colours have been disappointing here, many of the leaves fall before they have even turned.
