Had a quite walk around the Gloucester docks today my has it changed over the years ,in my view not for the better ,Lost a lot of the character of the old port but i suppose you can't stop progress ,,
The former dock estate has become a popular destination where visitors can enjoy interesting views and a range of modern facilities while wandering around a remarkably complete example of a Victorian port. Views include many fine warehouses and other dock-related buildings that have been found new uses. Where ships once discharged their cargoes, there is now an ever-changing miscellany of visiting narrow boats, smart motor cruisers and the occasional yacht or tall ship.

Hi, I forgot how dark and dingy the English weather is. I've put 5 of your images on PS CS6 and adjusted shadow and highlights, plus a few more enhancements for the details. The images are great and tell a story of time gone bye. A nice set of 6 images, well done.

I'm looking for Ed posing in these...
V1 - Lovely composition using just those few splashes of blue against the drab browns;
V2 - Amazing contrasts, a gigantic monolith overpowering the chapel.

An excellent set of images Robin, these have turned out really well given the bad light. I'm surprised Moira didn't spot me in v6 wearing a flourescent jacket and climbing a ladder!Wink
