It strange what appeals to some people. This was a very popular image on another site. More popular than any other image I have posted and I am not sure why. Seeming I have had some good response from the members here regarding this style I though I would share it here and see if it tickles anybodys' interest

A weird piece of digital art that got my attention at once. The finishing touch would be a bird perched on that horizontal branch seen a little above Gobolino's head. An African fish eagle would suit the trees, which are reminiscent of Lake Kariba. Not sure the cat could cope with a fish eagle though !

I really like your uploads of late - you seem to have stumbled on a style! I can see why this image works - it asks questions of the viewer and is technically excellent. I love the depth and the composition. The style used is unashamedally manipulated and the picture does not hide it. I just wish I was as creative and as skilled in PS.

You seemed to be getting the votes now, well deserved. I agree with the idea of a bird as I think that there needs to be another element in the picture. Just my viewpoint but I still think this is a great picture.

This is fab. You should be illustrating a modern book of dark fairytales - your style just really captures something special. Exceptional images of late.
