Taken early November at the Rowardennan meet. This was where my 300D came a cropper - so thanks again to Adrian Carr for allowing me to borrow his D70.

SPLASH... like it mate... I am off to Tees barrage this week to try my hand..
Great sport action capture.
Like a lot the composition and framing.
Not bad Colin, not bad!
Worth the wait in the cold and rain I would say.
1/8th-1/4 of a second later might have been even better.....but who knows LOL
Excellent timing here, very nice.
Nice shot Colin. Is this Glen Etive?
Great presentation too.
a great action shot that leaves you wondering how he is going to end up! Nice work.
Wow! Thanks for the clicks and comments everyone. This has been a surprise.
Yes, John, this is the triple fall at Glen Etive. These guys were rookies from Edinburgh University Canoe Club and this was their first drop.
Again, all, thanks for the support.
Good timing, just the right shutter speed, really like this one.
An excellent 'action' capture, great drama in the water and anticipation in the man's face. Seems you took to the Nikon quite well!

Way Cool, Colin.....Nicely captured!
Great shot Colin. I think the way the "double" falls at the back lead your eye towards the canoeist and the stark orange colour all add up to a great image. John
I love that frozen water!
A great action shot Colin. I'd still rather photograph it than be in the boat.
