Thanks John, this was taken on the edge of the road near the field of wild sage where we've been several times (tall trees around). I also took the previous shot there, I'd say there were about 5 or 6 species feeding on these flowers at the time.
What happened to your travels this year? you could always still head over! ![]()
Cheers,
Tim
Beautiful. I'd love to get photos like this.
Thanks for sharing
A stunning image Tim, they don't get any better than this. The colours, light, details, clarity and composition are all outstanding, you've raised the bar yet again
Have to agree with you Tim, this is really special. Beautifuly captured in your own inimtiable style, congratulations on all the thoroughly deserved awards.

Tim - Ended up taking a trip to Portugal end of May as sue had a week's holiday to use up and I had some vouchers to practically pay for all of a package tour for a fortnight so we're off to Crete end of September. I was set to make one of tro trips to Provence like last year in April/May and had provisionally booked with L'Orée du Bois for last week April and first 2 weeks of June, but then someone asked in February about going fishing in Norway, which normally would be well and truly booked up by then. It turns out there was still space, so went for that which due to car hire issues meant I had to make it a 10 day trip leaving me with just 3 days holiday spare - not enough for Provence this year unfortunately ![]()
