Afternoon all! Not been very well, so didn't get to post yesterday. Still not able to sit at the PC for long, so apologies for not replying to many photos - I am still trying to look at them when I get time.
Thanks for all the comments on the last upload, this one is a bit different. Took this back when I first got my first DSLR - and it's not brilliant. I've had a play around with it - and I still love this shot, despite the seriously blown highlights. You can see on the chest where I've edited (I'm not good with photoshop) and I can't tell whether the edited version is better or not!
Hope everyone's having a better day than me, with feeling ill and the weather being horrendous!
xx

Thank you! *blush*
I had already uploaded it back in 2009, but I don't know which is better. I'm sort of considering deleting this, as two basically identical images seems a bit silly :/ I think I prefer composition in this one, as I cropped it differently. I dunno!

hope you feel better soon, good shot of the goldcrest with a nice perch
Stunning, gorgeous light and shot, wish i could see birds like this up in my neck of the woods. Fab! James

i love it your so lucky to of seen one and capture it.
I only ever got one shot of these Laura and that was a record image, you did very well here, not many have ever got one in the veiwfinder let alone photograph one, lovely comp,
Geoff.
Never easy at the best of times Laura.Keen eye required and quick finger, very well spotted and captured...
You are right about the exposure issues - but it is still a most endearing image of the little chap lurking in the foliage!

Heard of your circumstances from Ann (Canadiann) - my thoughts are with you, and wish you a speedy recovery.

Hi Laura
Another lovely bird image - you're good at these, aren't you?
.
Like Pete and TrevB I heard via Canadiann that you were in hospital and just wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you and praying for a speedy recovery.
Take care, hope to see some more of your bird shots here before very long.
Theresa xx
