You have captured the front of the engine so sharp, the smoke/ steam looks fantastic and the image is balanced out perfectly by the lovely frosty tree. - gary

A cracking shot - I would be interested to know where you took this. I used to see the Golden Arrow running when I was a young boy in the early 50's and we used to go to find the right places to get a good view - is it near the warren?

Agreed - a cracking shot that contrasts well with the wintry scene. Like 'Ray42' it revives childhood memories when the all-Pullman, London/Paris Golden Arrow was frequently hauled by one of these locomotives. Incidentally, you may be interested to know that 'Tangmere' is a 'Battle of Britain' class locomotive named after the Sussex airfield of that name.
