The golden hour is supposed to be the best time for outdoor shooting - within 1 hour of sunrise or sunset. Nowhere is that more true than at the foot of Wastwater, where the screes take on amazing colours as the light fades. This shot was grabbed on 7 September this year as we hurried to get back to the campsite & thence to the Wasdale Head Inn, for well earned refreshment.

A beautiful and serene lakedistrict scene, splendid colours and reflections
Very interesting composition, there's a strong < shape on the left (foliage/shoreline), echoing a similar < shape on the right.
Just noticed the ducks/coots, they're magic.

Super composition, great like and a wee bit of icing on the cake - the ducks.

You just can't beat the light up in the Lakes in the "magic" hours.

My type of landscape - great composition, framing ,reflections and colours.
Excellent composition! Haven't seen a better one in a while, nice reflections too.
Some wonderful golden hues here.
Perfect timing as you say, and currently the Featured E2 photo
Helen
currently E2 featured - what a wonderful picture absolutley awesome
I hope you do not mind my visiting your image at this late date.......I just happened to notice it was the featured E2 photo as I type. Such a beautifully composed Lakeland landscape, with all the elements that contribute to a superb landscape just perfectly in place on this one. Beautiful image.
Ronnie.
