OK, I know it's a cliche, everyone does it, but I've never managed to get this close to a dragonfly before, so indulge me.... just this once ....I promise I won't ever upload a dragonfly image again Wink.

My husband spotted this while we were out walking the dog - it was just hanging from the leaf, totally still - probably asleep, or maybe drunk on nectar, lol! I didn't have my tripod with me, so this was hand held at 300mm.

Anyway, hope you like it, hope it's not tooooooo boring, lol!!

Thanks for all your c and c on my Classic Boat Reflection - any comments on today's offering will be gratefully appreciated.

This is a fantastic dragonfly capture-- expecially as you say it is hand held. You have managed sharpness from head to tail alsong with those great colors!

I have worked long and hard on perfecting dragonfly shots-- envious that this is your first!

What a wonderful colour, and so very nicely captured, Theresa. Like both, but it has to be the whole dragonfly in V1 for me.

Thank you everyone for your comments. Jennnn - no envy necessary, lol. It was like taking candy from a baby.... the dragonfly was so still, I couldn't fail really Wink
