I took my new camera (that boasts extra pixels over my old one) out, together with the 400mm lens.

I specifically wanted to see the quality of distance shots, something that was wanting with my D60 (10 Mgpx).

This shot was taken at something in the region of 200-250 yards.

While I'm quite pleased with the results, any tips and advice people have got to improve this sort of photography would be appreciated.

Thank you Christine and Keith, your comments are appreciated. These extra pixels seem to make all the difference.
