Thought this was the B24 Liberator at first then I read your description ... I'd forgotten all about the Mitchell.

Very similar looking Paul, other than the engine count.

Never seen a liberator flying. I think there are only two flying examples and both in the states. There is one on static display in the American Air Museum at Duxford, also polished up like this Mitchell
