picture shows a pigeon in the act of eating a piece of bread. I have never before seen how a pigeion uses its tongue to balance the food in its beak - as can be seen here.

Should i have cropped this more closely so that the tongue is more obvious?

is it too dark?

Yes crop, but keep the wings/shoulders in frame. I feed birds as well. Will take note of your point next time. TG
