oh for some of that blue sky Lillian a fine view colourful and sharp across the image...
sorry to hear of the flooding just more to heap on your mind at this time
Graham
Have to confess, total envy when I viewed this, not because I especially wanted to be in Venice but oh for a share of those blue skies
Then I read about your carpets and oh, dear! So sorry to read that. Must be dreadful. Don't suppose knowing you're not the ony one helps a lot either, though I saw on the News some poor souls only able to live upstairs as their downstairs rooms are awash up to nearly the ceilings! So hope it all gets better soon, for all of us.
Ann
The weather is getting far worst in this country especially with flooding Lillian, not sure what can be done about it, but will have to be sorted or home insurance will be too expensive to buy.
About your upload, it is beautifully composed with exposure spot on, excellent.
Regards
Trev.
Another wonderful shot from Venice, so well composed and capturing the light and colours so well.
And sorry to hear of yet further plumbing disaster on the home front, Lillian: I do hope you get the cause sorted rather sooner than happened last time.
My thoughts are with you.
Ronnie.
Just think back to when you were in Venice, and remember they get flooded there as well. Hope the clean up is soon done, set your friend on with a mop
and tell them your just have to 'pop out' for a moment. Excellent photo Well done.
Elaine
Lovely image Lillian, great composition, sorry to hear about the flood, hope it is all sorted soon.

It's one thing being surrounded by lots of water in scenes like this, but here it's no joke....sorry to hear about your flood, Lillian ![]()
Thanks again for your UA, by the way ![]()

Very Venice, Lillian, and the boats are essential to the shot.
I join others in sympathizing with you about the flooding, hope things get better soon.
So sorry to hear about the flooding. Take lots of photos and burn them on to cd's for the insurance company as their assessors are probably run off their feet at the moment.
Love the photograph of Venice in hot, sunny weather, a sight I have yet to see in person.
HI Lilian what a beautiful picture and as others have also said the bright blue sky well captured by you and it gives me a little insight into what Venice looks like thanks to you. where were you perched when taking the shot? sorry about the mess you have to deal with at home we will all be thinking of you, but keep the camera flashing. Gerry.
Oh dear, flooding is a great nuisance. Had it in February at + 1 C after the pipes burst!
Hope you'll feel better soon.
Think of the moment when you took this great shot an the water was so far beneath you.
I'm not very good with words, but my award says it for me.
Water water everywhere. mother nature at her best
A beautiful Venetian scene Lillian, such wonderful colours and composition. This one epitomises what summer should be all about. The weather is rubbish in Gloucestershire too but thankfully no flooding yet. I hope we are not to see a repeat of 2007 and the infamous black friday, rather worryingly there is a Friday 13th and Friday 20th July just like there was on the year of the bad floods, I hope lightning does not strike twice!![]()
Oh no!! Not you as well flooded out? I am SO sorry to hear that. It must be so depressing. I went away the same weekend as you, but in the UK. I came home after three days. Have to go away again soon, but unlikely to be away long. Should have got me some ducks instead of my dogs.![]()
Nice photo, by the way.
Becky
