Another from my trip. I was stopped from using my tripod when I arrived here early on the Sunday morning but toddled off to get permission. I was given permission to use the tripod on the Monday but as I was flying home on Sunday afternoon it was not much use. Tripods not allowed at weekends in Grand Central Terminal. So I had to do my best by leaning on walls etc. Had to lose some quality to get the light etc.

In view of the lack of tripod etc, is it ok?

Techie bits; 0.60 secs, f10, 17mm. iso 1600.

I find it hard to pinpoint why I like this picture. Think it's something about the light, the colours and the movement.

I agree with petra. It's a very nice crisp shot of the building off set by the motion blur in some of the people. Great colours, great lighting, great shot.

It gets the first click I have ever given a picture ... well done!

I like it - The lighting is really nice and the people certainly have a sense of movement.

Were you given a reason why tripods are not allowed? Is it a 9/11 thing?

Thanks Petra, Anthony and Mike.
Mike - the lady in the Stationmasters office said it was because the station gets too busy at the weekends to allow tripods.

Thank you Sandy, Dennis and Kev.

Hi Kev - yes I got my certificate with 3 credits on today too! I have been leaving messages on Alan Kents voicemail at college asking him to contact me so I can arrange to collect my work but he has not responded. I will have to try to turn up and hope that I can catch him. I will indeed be signing up for Septembers GCSE course. See you there!

Great shot! Paul.

This is amazing because the people have movement but the rest is sharp and full of details. Looks like it was on a tripod. I've tried this but everything turns out blurry, so good job!

Lovely pic - I like the feeling of calmness it creates of what is a busy place. The light is great in it.
