Another from our holiday on Cape Cod, MA in June 2010. This is the Gray Catbird (Dumetella carolinensis), common in damp shady brushy areas and forages for insects and other invertebrates and berries in low shrubs or on the ground. Often seen in gardens and, like our robin, will follow you around as you work, almost having a conversation with you!
Slaty gray plumage with blackish cap and a distinctive red on the underside of the tail. There is NO other Eastern US bird with this colour.

Beautiful image Sylvia. A super looking little bird, has the stance of a Robin too.
