An Lochan Uaine: The Green Lochan in Glen More, Cairngorm National Park. So called because the waters have a very clear green colour... not in evidence on Sunday when I took this photo because it was frozen over. The lochan itself is hard to get a good image from and so I climbed the heather and scree to see down the glen. There was an RAF rescue sea king helecopter buzzing about but happily not when I took this. It's 3 bracketed shots, each edited in Capture One and then blended in PSE to capture the tonal range which was difficult using filters alone due to the bright foreground but darker midground.
I also snapped some more ice on Loch Morlich which I'll inflict on you later in the week ![]()

Yep, works very well. I particularly like how the mountains slowly disappear into mistyness.

The HDR looks very natural, Al. The composition is spot on with the 'flow' down the glen with strong diagonals, and the restricted colour range looks very good, especially with the sunlight catching and warming some of the greens.
