It had been raining and this butterfly was sheltering. If the sun had been out, I would never have got this shot because these butterflies are usually on the wing. But by wandering along a wet, overgrown track and about twenty or so rehearsals, my patience was duly rewarded and I got the image I wanted. I never use flash so had to adjust my position a bit. In other shots the glare of the white flowers was too strong but this was just right.
