Hi all, a little Greenfinch who isn't quite green yet co's he's not fully grown
The food in the beak is a berry he got from a nearby bush just in case anyone is interested ![]()

Just had a look at Maiwand's adult greenfinch - well, what a difference! Think this one still has to eat a lot of seeds to get the body shape of the adult one!

I awarded this for the detail in the bird, the angle, the exposure, the fact the feet, twig and bird are all sharp. The background didn't bother me enough to prevent me giving it a HC but was mainly reason it didn't get an EC. I think the fact it's brown eludes to the fact it's a tree branch or darker woodland area. The banding could be reduced by adding a touch of noise.
