Good afternoon....and the sun is shining here!

Been playing about and trying to do some thing a little different. Of course doing that puts you out of your comfort zone....which now and then can be a grand thing.....well of sorts.....I think?

Thanks for stopping by

C&C welcome...

Look large for bigger (Noix) nuts! Wink (sorry could not resist that)

really like this alot, the tray with fruit, nuts and crackers looks superb, although i think a different coloured b/g would help it to stand out a bit more

Thnaks Phil & Ian....

Ian: I have tried a few colours of b/g's but liked this one the best. I thought also it needed to be plain. Thanks for your comment....and I will keep experimenting Smile

Post early for Christmas Ally ! Lovely tones and shadows, I notice the tray is signed thrice ?
My mum used to give us pomegranates with a pin for some reason, it took all day to eat them. I don't remember liking them much but it was food of a sort.
I might have cropped it square myself but then all mine are squarish.

Nicely set up Alison & good subject matter. My fave bit is the little drop of juice running down the Pomegranate.

Thanks folks....

Clive: My Grandma used to give us Pomegranates when we were kids and with the pin! Do you think it was because it took so very long to pick them out and eat....and it kept us occupied & quiet for a long time? Wink

I signed the tray....in french.....for pomegranate & nuts.....that was the arty farty bit Wink
Mmmmm the crop....Its another of those to do's or dont.... Smile

love the light , perhaps the nuts shouldve been move down a little so as not to overlap the tray , but hey , these types take forever so well done

a well balanced composition alley....very effective indeed

find the strongest point the set-up and composition. the 'shiny treatment' has its appeal for now as the different-factor still plays a big part, but have a feeling that it would quickly start annoying me rather than pleasing if I saw a few images like this showing up in the gallery

I think this is appealing a real 'seasonal image' with the tones/textures and 'contents' and I add I share the same frustration of the 'needle' as everyone else.... good step out of the comfort zone with the 'arty fartiness'... Karen Smile
