Watched this little one try for over an hour to get to the bird feeding stations, he tried every way under the sun but failed to get past the Squirrel deterent.
A super close-up, Trev, well captured. Carol
Good close up capture. A
Hi Trev like all squirrels he will learn, a great shot, gray.
He will no doubt keep trying nice close up good detail
A wonderful capture Trevor. Gary
A lovely shot Trev, great detail.
stunning shot ..glad he found something to nibble on in the end
Ex. shot Trev ~ Nice to see a shot without all the b/g distractions. Normally I only see them when they half way up a tree and obscured with branches. Looks like this one has a cross between a Grey and a Red somewhere down the lineage line.
Spot on Eye/nose focusing. Hand held at 40th?
Lovely sharp capture Trev
Great close-up, i love the lower shooting angle here Trev!
Thanks everyone for great comments, Tony I used a Monopod!
Nice use of wide aperture to isolate the squirrel from it's surroundings, Trev.
He's sitting pretty and minding his own business and you have recorded him beautifully.
Excellently taken image . Nice and sharp on the face anda nicely blurred b/g ...Phil
Lovely capture Trev.
Thank you all.
The perfect close up! What a beautiful image!
Hi Trevor. Superb shot in all respects and I do like the angle and the excellent dof One of the shots of the day !!!
Understand what you are saying Trev, have a look at my last Robin (Critique one) Geoff has put a link for the heavy support there for the tripod..now cannot wait for it and the tripod..I think it is an essential for the heavy lens we have...it also goes into a mono pod, what more could we ask? I still think this is a good squirrel shot, but with a extra bit of help..wonders never cease?? Thanks for your concern for Ted
A good sharp face, I can see the monopod came in handy when shooting at 290mm with a shutter speed of 1/40 well done.
