A glimmer of colour before the rain. Taken this morning in galeforce winds - a lee filter was blown straight out of my hand and into the river never to be seen again it sank immediately
Thank you for looking
At least you had Some light, here the filter would have been taken into a dark abyss. Stunning capture of what the weather throws at you.
Gorgeous image and a wonderful composition. Sorry for the loss of an expensive piece of equipment.
Shame about the filter - smashing shot though!
At the price of Lee filters I'd of dived in to rescue it Katie LOL
The conditions minus the gales with that light certainly makes for a super image.
Thought about it Les but the water didnt look very inviting and I had so many clothes on I probably would have sunk to the bottom with it.
You caught it just right.
Just wonderful,love it,
The second disaster with these filters in one morning on site. They do take off when they hit water, just like frizbees, probably sensible not to go after it. You caught the light hitting the underside of the clouds to perfection too.
love the glow
Cracking shot !!!...love that blast of colour in a relatively sombre scene, to create the drama & impact !!!!
It's a gorgeous image as compensation for that rather expensive gust of wind.
This is gorgeous!
btw, if it was gale force, why aren't the windmill sales moving? Are they fixed?
The sails are not in working order.
