Subject of huge debate ( In my view they have been persecuted enough !!) The Grey Wolf, ultimate predator of Yellowstone ( Grizzlies to chase packs of a kill ) We heard a pack howl and saw the result of a kill and see one from a distance. This individual was in the rescue centre in West Yellowstone, but it fits the bill !!!!!

Thanks for this upload - one of my very favorite animals - so needed in the environment as a top predator. This one is a beaut - healthy coat and bright eyes.

Have your read Farley Mowat's books Ron?

They are so beautiful. This one ears look a bit small. We saw footprints & just missed a pack. They turned off of the road just before they got to us so all we saw like you was the result if a kill & a few a very long way in the distance.
