B&W for me - in V1 I didn't notice the way the avenging angel in the tympanum is eyeing up the foreground figure. The elements relate to each other better in V2.

Very well seen, shot from an unusual pov to put two swordsmen side by side.
Tonally I think that the b&w works just a little better as it hides the purple fringing of the highlight at the top.
