This picture was taken at a Snake charmer village (Sylhet, Bangladesh ). Many of us are not very comfortable with this reptile but to them it is common thing. Snakes were roaming around freely while babies were sleeping. It seems like the snakes are protecting the sleeping babies.

Blimey,that looks a bit scary but as you say,I guess the local people are used to this kind of thing.
I think this scene is well captured & very well seen & it seems you have focused nicely on the sleeping child.
Maybe a slightly lower viewpoint would have brought the Snake into focus too which would have been an improvement here I think....the Snake is slightly out of focus.Also a lower angle may have shown us the face of the sleeping child a little clearer through the mesh of the basket.
I like this for the 'true to life' capture,a spur of the moment,well done !
