taken recently as part of a trip to dehli.
Upped the blacks to give it some oomph.
the title refers to the man in the photo.
although he is the cleaner he also acts as a guide. In return for his knowledge of the site he requests to be paid in Euros!

thank you for your comments and clicks. it is appreciated.
I agree that the subject is a simple one but somehow interesting.
May be it is the light coming down the steps that adds value to the image.
did the folowing work on this to get it to this stage:
levelling
increase the blacks
selective sharpening on the man
dodging of the slithers of light on the various steps
and reduction of the light in te arch as that was geting to dominant whereas the focus is on the man.

to ed Jones, the pro critique for this photo.
thank you for your pro critique.
I agree with your comments that the photo could be more interesting with the person looking over his shoulder back at me or if I had chosen an angle which would make the photo more dynamic.
Agree that the top end of the photo where one would expect a reward for looking upwards into the image lets the viewer down by havin nothing to show for
the reason for thes missed opportunities is lack of time. Too late did I notice the man in front of me and simply grabbed the shot.
In fact I have one photo of him lower on the stairs and one just a bit higher up. In neither is he looking back.
Thank you for your comment, it is appreciated.

For a grab shot you've caught a lot of interesting detail and contrasts as well as that super shaped archway
