A bit of a boring photo today of a gull, taken at WWT Arundel

I once put a similar statement up about an image I uploaded and was strongly advised that in reality no image is boring. Since you took the image it must have been appealing to you for some reason and that is the objective of photography to convey what you saw and felt at the time you took the photograph.
I am not sure if you are using one, but again, good advice given to me was to use a tripod when ever possible, it helps with maintaining the sharpness of the image and it has worked for me. Another piece of very good advice was when taking photographs of animals and humans, go straight for the eyes, always focus on the eyes; the reason being, apparently, as humans we instinctively focus on the eyes of our subjects that we are viewing or talking to and the brain transmits the information from there. So, if the eyes are sharply in focus, the rest of the picture will take care of itself.
I am still a novice when it comes to photography, but this advice has helped me, I hope it helps you too.
I Agree with Trish in everyway it looks like a herring gull great shot
You've caught the gull with some fantastic details and an amazing reflection.
To me, nature is never boring!
Great capture love the reflection
Gulls can make great subjects. Some of my best bird shots are of Gulls and Pigeons, theyre eay to find!
Its slightly soft, and has a tendency to be blueish.
Ive uploaded a mod, tweaked and flipped horizontally. Your speed should be whatever the 35mm equivalent focal length is for the camera.
A great effort, keep up the good work.
