Picture postcards over in Iceland present this majestic waterfall against blue skies - unfortunately we had torrential rain and low cloud! Oh well...this was one of my better shots..
Gullfoss - meaning Golden Falls - is a double-cascading waterfall flowing at right angles to each other. The waters plunge down from the river into the ravine at the bottom where - on SUNNY days - a rainbow is caught in the spray and spans the Falls.
A truly magnificent sight.
