Escaped the fog at home on Saturday in favour of a last minute trip to Hadrians Wall with pro tog John Gardner who was on a mission to complete a commission for a book.
The late afternoon sun was tremendous with the heavy frost lingering still in the afternoon on the lee side of Housesteads crag providing contrast in the shade with the late sun giving beautiful tones.
It certainly beat waiting around at home for the fog to clear!
