...my friend and hopefully yours Johanna (brownsilent)link a lady who knows more about Scotland and it's history than I do and I've lived here for 67 years.
Spent a great day yesterday on Rannoch Moor & down Glen Etive, we drove as far as Fort William hoping for some light but it was all rain and more rain, cloudy sky's and the clouds got darker by the minute. Johanna (that's pronounced with a Y at the front) was out the car at every place I stopped, sometimes before I had stopped.
I have a few to show of our trip but I want Johanna to get beck to Germany and join in the story. This is one to let you know she was here.
I've managed to lose the tree on Lochan na h'Achlaise in the gloom, sorry I'm sure that Johanna will have a better shot.

I recognised her in the thumbnail, I'm so glad Johanna is having a good time despite the rain (her postcard turned up this morning).
All the best to you both,
Moira
Hope you had a great time and yes she is a great lady;
Tom.
I kind of knew that this one was coming up - well, of course I didn't precisely, but you know what I mean. Tomorrow we're heading north-ish for three days of Scottish summer weather, that is just the same as ours in the Borders but on higher ground. I'm sure you had a grand conversation and look forward to hearing and seeing both sides of the story!
Regards
Bill
Looks exactly as I remember it from my stay there last week Dougie, complete with mist and low cloud. Still one of the best trips I ever had though.

What a wonderful back drop for a portrait in spite of the rain Dougie.
This might interest you Dougie: Stones Time-lapse
Very impressive Mike any movement looked minimal on the small screen. The fast moving blustery sky really worked for you. My nephew in California has done some video with the 5D 11 I can't find the link at the moment.

Thank you for a great day out Dougie, this sure complements me! ![]()
I'll be in touch,
Johanna (pronounced with an Y)
I'm just happy you enjoyed your visit, look forward to seeing what you got.

Great stuff Dougie...why...well, I have seen Johanna's images before but went back to her portfolio and then found myself on her website and then was listening to the John Wright Band....never heard him before but eagerly sort out some stuff on Ewe Toob and have made a note to get a couple of cd's in the future...not one for folk music normally I found some of his stuff very pleasant - sadly, he passed on a few years ago. That was early this morning and now I am coming back to you.. cheers. ![]()
PS Have stood there myself with Norm...good memories.
