Last in series. A Christmas flower-arranging class...
I'm delighted by the response to these. Several people yesterday commented on the beauty and poignancy of old hands. I can report that the photos were very well received by the group, but several ladies said 'I didn't realise that my hands looked so old...'
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Nezih, that was a very agreeable surprise, thank you so much for the UA! This is something that I've been wanting to photograph with the Lensbaby. And Carol, I can't decide between this one and yesterday's...
Dougie asked about colour yesterday. The dark greens are good, but the ladies were all wearing different colour jumpers, and that white plastic sheeting (top right... ) is much more evident in the colour versions. So these were always going to be mono.
I might try adding green toning though some time...
Moira
A very good version, will be interesting to see a 'toned' version.
Dave
I've just been playing with green toning, I'm not convinced... But I have found another picture from the afternoon that I shall upload tomorrow...
Cheers everyone,
Moira
Many thanks to Phillip for his GEA, an early Christmas present!
I'll catch up here later, I have to swim down to town for a meeting...

I recall many years ago sending photographer to get an image to illustrate the elderly and how they lived alone. He came back with one image which hit the spot which was a pair of hands holding onto a walking stick, it told a great story in it's simplicity, as does this Moira, fine work and the choice of lens just adds a little extra.
Dougie
Very app in mono. Experienced floral arrangement by a beautiful hand.
Another fine mono capture in this series, Moira ![]()
Hope you don't drown in all this nasty rain ![]()

I love the hand Moira, reminds me of my mum's! A certain poignancy about these images.

Every so tenderly............
Award well deserved.
Anne
A wonderful Christmas season to you and Bill and your family.
Thanks again everyone. Rob, I hadn't thought of your idea, I've tried it out but I think I want the balance of the two hands.
I've worked on one further upload, which will appear tomorrow.
Moira
A fine finale to this excellent series Moira, good to see you handiwork being recognised by your peers on epz
