This pretty much sums up the shot I set out to capture on Saturday evening whilst up in the Lakes. Obviously I was in the lap of the Gods for the conditions, but on arrival they looked promising. The light was fleeting and the sun was coming and going through the broken cloud.
Meter, calculate grad, adjust if needs be, meter again, slap face to minimise midges, meter again, slap ... this was the pattern for the evening. All I could do was hope that things materialised as I'd hoped. That solo cloud and its shadow was just the icing on a very lovely cake!!!
As the A-Team's Hannibal Smith once said - "I love it when a plan comes together" ... now where's my cigar ?
Enjoy your weekend folks,
