Taken in Zambia. These lions were enjoying the sunset as much as we were!

Just had a look at this photo on my monitor at work and it is coming out very dark (compared to my monitor at home). Can you let me know if this is the case on your monitors - if so I might delete, as I can hardly see the lions!

Great to see a male and female lion together, a magnificent African sunset you shared with the lions. I think African sunsets are some of the best in the World due to the dust in the air making the colours more vibrant. The waterhole is very low, with a few months still before the rains appear. Great capture Alex

Great shot Alex - if you think it is a little dark you could try using picasa to do some basic tweaking or photoshop if you have it but I think your images has the feel of the descending night captured really well SmileSmile

Lions, what lions?

Only kidding Alex they're clearly visible on my monitor, your's must be darker at work. I love the monochromatic feel to this peaceful image, lovely work!

Hi Alex.
My screen is calibrated on a weekly basis and I can say that the lighting on the Lions is perfect for showing the time of day! The sun and sun reflection being the brightest part does retract from the main elements of the capture the Lions, the warm backlighting on the Lions is superb, the composition is perfect, wonderful capture to be proud of.

Regards

Trev.

A beaut image. Looks absolutely super on my screen, Alex. Do like the lighting and rich tone, and I love the rim-lighting catching the lions.
