Swallowtail variety. Just loved the way it was hanging on to the leaves with its front legs (curling the leaves in the process) whilst the rear ones were just suspended in air!!

Superb detail & I love the composition!
Have you tried rotating it 90degrees CW? Just thought it may even up the composition even more. Just an idea, it doesn't need it!
Hi Sam, excellent clarity and beautiful colours. Nice work. click

This is just so, so good.
Thanks for commenting on my pink bug earlier, but it had to go 'til I get the hang of (if ever) of this macro lark! ![]()
wow!
my god!
that's an amazing shot - so clear!! That macro lens has blurred the background perfectly, but the framing and everything is spot on!!
Well done

Lovely image with wonderful clarity.
Thanks for visiting my portfolio too.
You have captured the ethereal quality of the wings in a remarkable way! It is quite simply a breathtaking species!
I do feel that more space behind the wings and less of the frond would have improved the composition, but that's just to give you something to think about, and by no means should distract you from your gloating over this one!!!
Regards,
Tim
My turn to jump on the bandwagon! I jumped to this and then noticed how fast it's clocking up the clicks. It's a fantastic shot.
