I just had to post this shot I took at Salzberg two summers ago. This is to celebrate the 250th birthday of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, born January 27th, 1756. -=Walter

This is wonderful! I love the great detail in the architecture and the excellent colors. The shapes are wonderful...and the rainbow is a bonus. Only SMALL nit...too bad the top of the tower is nipped off. Great shot anyway, love it! Smile

Walter this is perfect and Mozart would be proud of this tribute! Great detail from the cathedral plus the bonus of a smile,I think that was Mozart smiling down on Salzberg! Trully beautiful image!

Paul, that is the Hohensalzburg Fortress, 400 feet above the Salzach River. It is so foreboding that nobody attacked the town for a thousand years. We took the funicular up there to get an incredible view of Salzburg and surrounding countryside. -=Walter
