Another one of my "Home Teritory" shots, this time of Paignton Harbour with Torquay in the background. Need I say how lucky I am to have these sort of views on my doorstep.

This one was taken with the first digital camera I ever had, a little 2 megapixel compact which was set on auto for most of the time and tucked away in my handbag. Looking back, It produced some nice images in the days before I knew much about photography and was the instigation of my being bitten by the photo bug and eventual step up to a 5 megapixel creative compact which I still have. Last year I went the whole hog and got myself a Digital SLR and I am now learning how to be a better photographer. I do have more disasters and disappointments than in the early days of point and shoot but the challenge is irresistable and when it all comes together, the extra effort is so worth while.

Once again, thanks for looking and thanks for all the comments and votes on my other uploads. Have a great weekend.
Fran.

I love harbours..they are so colourful when they are crammed full of boats. I haven't been to Paignton for ages..this is a superb shot.

Spent my honeymoon here many years ago, Fran, stayed at St, Anne's Hotel, could it still be there ? Great shot, plenty to look at and plenty of detail.
