I did a 3 week outward bound course based on Eskdale way back in 1986. This picture has stirred up some wonderful memories of the best holiday I ever had, hardknot pass is a fantastic place.

Thanks.

Wow, the weather is certainly alot better in your shot than it was the last time I was up there. Horizontal rain does not help on those roads!!! It is an awe-inspiring place and your pic certainly does it justice.

Great panorama Arnie, the perspective is good, and I like the typically restrained colours of the Lake district. Good shot

Nice shot Arnie. I remember my first trip up Hardnot Pass about 16 years ago. I had to stop at the first pub for a stiff drink afterards and to summon up the courage to go back!

Just seen this Arnie, the larger version really does it justice..you almost fall off the top(g) Getting there sounds as bad as getting up to Malham Cove, what a nightmare that is!!Sad You need to print this to A3 it would look super at that size.
Cheers...Leo

Isn't this such a beautiful place. I once travelled through when there was a terrible storm and Grasmere was under two or three feet of water down below. Great shot. Den Smile
