the road up hardknot is 2meters wide has hair pinbends with passing places and gradiants of 30%
Looks almost 3D.

Everything helps to create a sense of depth. Well done!
Excellent landscape. Love the sky and the view!
Beautiful shot. The colour and composition is excellent. Very good detail in the lovely large version.
You need good brakes then ?
Fantastic shot, love the clouds! Looks like a great place for a walk
Hi Arnie,Brilliant shot,Love the way this shot, meanders throughout itself showing the way towards that beautiful sky.Great detail,colour/tone,texture,lighting and presentation.Excellent well thought out composition.Take care.Ann
I did a 3 week outward bound course based on Eskdale way back in 1986. This picture has stirred up some wonderful memories of the best holiday I ever had, hardknot pass is a fantastic place.
Wonderful scene, excellent detail and composition.
Wow, the weather is certainly alot better in your shot than it was the last time I was up there. Horizontal rain does not help on those roads!!! It is an awe-inspiring place and your pic certainly does it justice.
It's great fun if you meet another car on one of the bends !
I like the picture..
As a northern exile living in the south, this takes me back, thanks,
Great panorama Arnie, the perspective is good, and I like the typically restrained colours of the Lake district. Good shot
Arnie:the mountains left, come up lovely on the larger version, awe inspiring Good One.
Take care on those hairpins OK

Beautiful Lakeland panorama. Gorgeous view of Eskdale with lovely perspective.
Nice shot Arnie. I remember my first trip up Hardnot Pass about 16 years ago. I had to stop at the first pub for a stiff drink afterards and to summon up the courage to go back!
Beautiful shot of the colorful valley surrounded by those great mountains and rouded up with a gorgeous sky.
Stunning view, lovely sky.
What a glorius day--Perfect for a view like this---Think I would have to go on foot--would need time to savor all!
Nothing like the open road.Outstanding shot.
Something new in the color rendition for you shots, Arnie! Native colors, great composition. Well done.
Malik & Mary.
Beautiful Landscape view.
Just seen this Arnie, the larger version really does it justice..you almost fall off the top(g) Getting there sounds as bad as getting up to Malham Cove, what a nightmare that is!! You need to print this to A3 it would look super at that size.
thank you for taking the time to look and comment
This is awesome!!
Isn't this such a beautiful place. I once travelled through when there was a terrible storm and Grasmere was under two or three feet of water down below. Great shot. Den
