A first trip to Harewood Hill Climb and a first try at panning photography
All a bit hit and miss compared to what I'm used to, but this one came out about right - they don't half shift!

yeah - there was a "pro" there (in a white media jersey) with a mono pod, 70-200 and a 1D series.
I had the tripod so should have tried that on one leg (the tripod, not me!!!) to see what difference it makes.
thing is, the cars where I shot at 1/4000th look really crisp and lovely, yet had a boring background. at 1/60th, it's the reverse!
I reckon if you're there to make money, you'd bag sharp shots of every car early on - get them in the bank - then start panning later on to try get those special shots
