Hi all, This photo was taken at Hartland Quay in North Devon.
No sunset I'm afraid but a beautiful place never the less.
This was a trip that happened by chance as a customer gave me a call last week and asked me to make them a coffee table, asking where they lived they stated Padstow in Cornwall which happened to be a place I was trying to organise for a trip for photography, so this was an order I decided to take personally.
I set off on Sunday midday and got to Hartland Quay where I set about looking for good compositions after having some tea of course at the Hotel there on the rocks.
It was a nice day all the way there and i was really hoping i might be lucky to get some wonderful colours of the sunset, unfortunately for me and some other photographers there we were disappointed as a blanket of cloud swept over us and no sunset in sight.
Although I got no sunset it was worth the 6 hour journey to see this wonderful place.

Thank you guys for your comments, as always they are very much appreciated.
I'd say the image is better off without the sunshine............this image is dramatic..........you can feel the atmosphere......
Maybe not the immediate impact a sunset shot would make, but a beautiful image nonetheless, Ian. I like the blue and brown tones and your processing is spot on, the light on the rocks is perfect.

Thank you all very much for your comments and votes.
And pleasantly suprised to see an award so thank you very much for that Natureshaven.
There are a couple more images from this place to come shame I had so little time there, will have to organise another trip I think.
Unfortunately It was rain the next morning which was disappointing because I really wanted to make the most of my time there, Only really got a few hours of photography on Sunday night then it was cloud and rain from then on, such a shame really but at least i came away with some good shots, have to be thankful of that at least.
