A close up of a nice clump of Hawthorn blossom, in various stages of opening......but it was the red hues in the buds that attracted me, & the
whole bush was a blaze of colour..........

Thanks to everyone for the great response to 'Norfolk Sundown'........with special mention to Nigel, Richard, Mandy & Malc. for their valued UA's !!.Smile

Just today I went to the Pharmacist in town to ask him to order some Hawthorn for me - it is apparently very effective in treating heart and vein issues Smile Now I know what it looks like too Smile This is a lovely photo Keith Smile

A fine shot Keith, but I do confess I prefer cherry blossoms with a Geisha girl sauntering through them with her brightly coloured umbrella twirling in the wind.
But I know I can't have everything in this life !!

Hi Richard & Albert.........I admit it does look like apple-blossom, but it's got thorns, & has berries later in the year !!........I walk past the bushes nearly
everday, so I'll keep a check on it's progress, & see how it changes over the coming months !!.Smile

If you look in Google Images for Hawthorn Flower, you'll see lots of variations in the colour of the flowers.....from White to vivid Red, & lots of
shades in between..........food for thought, eh ?????
