An excellent piece of minimalist/abstract photography, which for me ticks all the right boxes and many more. Version Number I tugs at my heart strings.

Regards Nathan

Great observation. Not sure about totally mono I think it might work better by partially desaturating the background colours.

Almost an abstract by nature, Jenn, and with the mono version appealing more for it's impact.

Looks like hands clasped in fervent prayer towards the sky. Like, "Give us rain, give us rain...please". Which I should've been doing considering it's been nuclear here. I think your pic did the trick 'cos there was a goood rain tonight Smile

Well spotted heart and shot, Jennnn, and it works SO well in BW.

The b&w version concentrates the eye more with less distracting detail. An upside-down heart...what is the significence of that?

Malc

tip top lovely heart in b/w for me. reg Igor

Good shot.
Mick.

But I am torn because I really like the color version as well. In both cases I like the detail in the wrought iron and also the wrought iron look to your image border.
