I took a shot very similar to this last summer ,link and never got a portrait version, so I went back to get it last week, and was pleased when the sun just peepd through at the right time. It took two separate visits, but I'm pleased with what I got in the end.

Much preffer the colour in the right hand triangle above the path in this one, well done on making the effort to go back and get it.

Oh yes. This is very nice indeed!! Wonderful work! Portrait is (IMO) far better than the previous landscape. The path lends itself to the portrait version more.

GOOD SHOT. Great Image Leigh. I like the composition and the FG
detail and colours are spot on. Nice that you managed to capture the sun going down also. Think this is a winner.

Some lovely light and colours and the path winds it's way through the image making the portrait format work really well. The starbursting over the hill is the icing on the cake.

You would never have guessed they were taken so far apart... I have seen the other in real life and its beautiful. This is on par for me and would make a great card.

Well worth the trip back, Leigh, and prefer this to the landscape version. Love all those colours in the heather...and that path makes me want to go down it!
