Out to the CiCLE Classic around Rutland today and boy was it dusty! Sat in a ditch by the side of the track with this lot whizzing past followed by the cars and motorbikes. I'm covered in dust and have had stones pinging off me and a couple hit the side of the lens, but we survived
Oh, and I put my hand in a patch of stinging nettles, so that still stings as well!

Now that's more like it!!! That's a hell of a good piece of sporting reportage... And a superb piece of photography with that depth created by bokeh and dust. Composition is spot on and the front guys expression is well captured.
I would have prefered pink flowers though ![]()
Roger.
Thanks for the comments.
Roger, pink flowers could be arranged, but I thought the yellow went best with the lead riders jersey ![]()
I have to say, this race is my favourite of the year. Although the organiser did forget to leave me a photo vest at the commentary point earlier, I still managed to get the positions I wanted. Just have to sort out 800 images from Saturday before I start on the rest of this race from Sunday. Good job I booked a day off work today.
A great action shot, the front riders face brings it to life.
