Image of Henrietta Street - the cobbled street just below the 199 steps in Whitby. Taken at dusk with the last rays of the sun cutting through mist/sea-fret.

All comments most welcome.

cheers

The mono presentation of this contre jour urban landscape works so well, and the presence of the people, just in the right place, allow these long shadows to be thrown over the f/g cobbles. Expert handling of a very difficult light scenario.

I love this - it has such a timelessness about it that at first glance I thought it was from the 1960s Smile You've handled the lighting conditions (which must've been challenging) extremely well and created a very atmospheric image. And the square crop suits this beautifully.

Good image, it could almost be a Frank Meadow Sutcliffe image!
