Herb of Grace: Rue
This is an extreme close up of the rue flower--note the part that will set seed. Rue is a medicinal herb native to southern Europe and northern Africa.
Awesome detailed macro. .....Sandy
Hey Jennifer, you have done it again. What a wonderful photo.
Excellent macro Jenn - and a lovely image too
Excellent and very sharp picture.
What a beautiful flower, so well captured
A beautiful, complex flower beautifully captured.
Rue features in Ophelia's speech in Hamlet thus,
"There's rue for you; and here's some for me. We may call it herb of grace a Sunday's. O, you must wear your rue with a difference."
In this as rue is associated with abortion and therefore adultery, she is telling the King & Queen that she knows of their infidelity.
There's your useless fact for today!
Great macro Jenn
Super detail and lovely complementary colour, Jenn.
A gentle pleasing shot Jennn.
Superb shot Jenn fantastic detail and great colours
Be careful with this stuff, it can cause blistering of the skin............. great shot.

Thank for tip re using flash and lens hood.
Don't usually have my lens hood on indoors - so hopefully I'll remember that in future.
Good green tones Jenn.
I presume this is where the saying You will rue the day came from
Superb indeedy nearly ready to seedy, moving on......lovely capture very well captured and presented
Fantastic close-up, Jenn.
That is a close up Jenn, superb detail and colour.
A very nice macro, Jenn -- I really like the limited color palette.
New to me but very good showing
Excellent with the limited amount of colours
A stunning macro, Jenn. This looks a lot different than what I know here as rue. The yellow is difficult to get right, and you did it!
Excellent isolated blossom, beautiful background and light is excellent revealing all the beautiful colors of this flower, excellent work Jenn!
Gorgeous colours and close detail.

The green core does it for me!
I wish you so many of these beautiful flowers, in your life, Jenn, and let they all be with a confession of love!
