There's a portrait in there.
It's not a bad shot and you did well to spot it but as Frank say's, I'd get rid of the sign and concentrate on the heron, who's just not quite sharp enough.
I'd clone out that white box (alarm?) behind him too.
Hope this helps.

Bren.

Edit: I've uploaded a mod. in which I've cropped and sharpened it although I think I should perhaps have sharpened it a little more.

Quote: It is a ragged looking Heron alright, but unfortunately, what catches my eye is the 'Post' sign, followed by your name. I would have been tempted to get rid of both and in particular, the post sign. The name I would place within your border, hence out of your picture.

Frank

Thanks for your comments Frank. Have taken onboard what you said. The Post Office sign was left in to show that the Heron was on the Post Office roof.
And i shall in future place my name in the border not the picture.

Hello, Stuart. I think that to capture a heron is an achievement in itself. I appreciate that you have categorized this as humour, and including the post office sign does give it a comical side, but the sign being red is a very strong distraction from what I consider to be quite a competent shot of the bird. Since you focused on the heron, the sign is also blurred, but that was probably your intention. It wouldn't be much good desaturating the red sign because most post office signs are meant to be red. I am therefore of the opinion that, if you can eliminate the sign and the humour contained therein, you have a good image of the heron. In my modification, I cropped the top and right to give a square format, cloned out the white and blue box to give the heron a clean outline, also cloned out the little half circle of light above its head, then sharpened.
Pamela.
