A great caper shot but for me too much mush on this one, prob down to personal taste, but would lose some of the bottom and add some extra canvas to the top Smile Though would work well with text added for an article maybe,

I'd lose a touch on the left. There's a clump of white heather tips next to the frame that draw the eye away from the bird and makes the blur feel a bit heavy.

Not heather David, it is the tail of the bird which has white patches. I thought about cropping it but then did not like the composition. Could have cloned them, but then some may have wondered why the tail was not showing.

Just one of them things Lee, never certain how much mush works or does not work. I think the real issue with the shot is that there was probably too much heather here for the size of the bird Wink

Really looks as though he needs to stretch to his full capasity to be seen - perhaps a little less mush at the bottom but non the less a cracking head shot of this proud bird - Ina
