Alasdair Bampton, the man behind the Sunday Afternoon Project, which has been shown here a time or two . . .

No, he is not singing out of his ear, but it is difficult separating a musician from his microphone. The guitar is a Maton ( I think ), an Australian made instrument, which in his hands sounds very good indeed. One of his pupils is here

Good crisp portrait of a musician at work. His body language betrays no sign of tension, just calm concentration.

Good to see him. Unlike his students, no signs of nerves here!

At least the microphone was away from his face and is not at all intrusive in the image, a good capture - Carole

Nicely captured Jon, often the microphone is right in front of the face, but you've got it well positioned here Wink

I have tried these shots in the past,
and realise the difficulty you mention about separating them from the mike,
so I am not fretting with this one !!
Good shot.
Mick.

I've now squared the circle (as "they" (whoever they are) say) - following our PMs recently! Good portrait Jon.
